The thread that binds us.

One of the things I love most about living in NYC is the thread of human connection, the undercurrent of humanity that weaves its way through life here. The anonymous art with words of encouragement, the smiles from strangers, the holding open of a subway car door as you run to catch it…it can be a challenging place to live and a brutal teacher at times, but in my 7+ years of living here, I’ve learned several things to be certain:

- You are not alone. We are all connected, existing as individual fragments but of a collective human experience.
- If you look for inspiration, for a sign to keep going and give you strength, you will always find it, you will persevere.
- If you take time to be present and still, you will find that beauty and connection surround you.
- People are inherently good. For every terrible crime in the headlines, there are many more unsung acts of kindness and love that go unnoticed.

Spread a little love and kindness today - you never know who needs it
